The superseded English standard

BS 1490 - Specifications for aluminium, ingots and castings in aluminium alloys for general uses standard, defines the requirements for the chemical composition, mechanical properties and other chemical-physical characteristics for:
• aluminium alloys ingots for remelting used for the manufacturing of castings;
• aluminium alloys castings
The English standard BS 1490 was superseded by the EN: 1676 and EN: 1706 standards in 1999.

STANDARD STATUS: SUPERSEDED
