EN 601 - Castings - Chemical composition of castings for use in contact with food.

EN 601 standard specifies the maximum admitted content, expressed as a percentage by mass, of alloying elements and impurities in aluminium alloy products designed to be in contact with foodstuff.
Specifically, for the manufacture of aluminium alloy objects intended for contact with food, compliance with EN 601 is established by checking the maximum contents specified in EN 1706 with respect to the requirements of this standard.
